The 14th International Language Festival in Ulyanovsk
The 14th International Language Festival took place on March 26-27, 2016. Fascinating presentations of more than 30 languages of the world were held on 57 platforms. A considerable book exhibition dedicated to the language diversity was organized in the hall and the reading room. In addition to that, guest and participants of the festival had an opportunity to check their knowledge in the domain of linguistics in a short quiz. This year students of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology of Bashkir State University joined the festival. They introduced the audience in a vivid and popular form to peculiarities of the advertising discourse and dialects of the English language. Presentations of the students from Ufa were highly estimated. The main part of the event was supplemented by a cultural program in the form of informative excursion and concerts.

Happy anniversary!
On October 24 and 25, 2015 in Cheboksary, which is the Homeland of the Russian Linguafestival , the anniversary International Festival of Languages took place. The twentieth festival featured about 40 languages, and on the eve of the festival of languages traditional mini-festivals called “Caravans of languages” were conducted in Kanash, Novocheboksarsk and in some Cheboksary schools. An interesting new feature of this year was a linguistic cafe, where a poem or a song in a foreign language could help a participant to get a sweet prize.
