We invite you to plunge into the fascinating Language Festival world and realize that language is really the best mediator for establishment of friendship and harmony.

The Linguistic Festival is an educational event the aim of which is to demonstrate unique linguistic variety of the world and the significance of human language in general. The Festival will help you to raise awareness about linguistic diversity, provide you with information on sources to use to study the language you are interested in, give you an opportunity to exchange experiences and make new friends.

The idea of this festival (named "Language Festival") was originally created by an American Esperantist and public figure Dennis Keefe and the first festival was organized in 1995 in Tours, France. For the last 26 years the concept has spread to many other countries. Today language festivals are dear to many people's hearts. These people are not indifferent to the phenomenon of human language and linguistic variety of the world. As the natural result, lately the format of the event has been enriched as well as the variety of presented languages; the number of attendees and participants increased considerably. This makes a language festival an important international event that attracts more and more attendees and participants. The Linguistic Festival in Kursk is one of language festivals held in various countries of the world. The Archive section helps to get a broader picture of the event, it is constantly updated with information about the Kursk festival, and also includes introductory materials from 2011-2016 collected outside the region.
